  The rooms were comfortable, the staff good, and the web access helpful for bookings. We chose the hotel for a shared family trip for our father's 92nd bday, and the hotel's proximity to the Blue Crab resto. There were some irritants noted below, but we enjoyed our stay, as did dad.

  We'd asked for a seaview/harbour room for my 5yr old son's enjoyment, and we got a 3rd floor room; we'd have appreciated a view, or at least a note by email or at checkin that view rooms were all taken. Not to go on, but our backs were affected by too-soft beds, and the rates were a tad expensive.

  The personnel were very helpful at the desk and assisting with a ride downtown in the hotel van.

  Was a perfect place to stay for a family of 5 with 3 kids/young adults. We would definately stay here again. Price was right as was the location.

  Was in a great location. Easy walk to the Inner Harbour activities, restaurants and shopping.

  Big room, staff were polite.

  Very noisy. Construction work started in the hotel at 8 o'clock in the morning waking many people up. Not properly warned of this (although we found a note in the room saying light construction work would start at 9 in the morning). Towels were unclean, hairdryer was broken, and bathroom door did not fit the door way.

  Terrific greeting by hotel reception, helpful, charming, good humored. Convenient location to all City amenities within walking distance. Parking availability at hotel at a reasonable cost. Good restaurant for breakfast. Delivered the room specific requests.

  Very nice ocean view from the suite.Very spacious 2 bedroom suite, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay there.

  Only has 1.5 bathroom in a 2 bedroom suite! Second bedroom could be bigger! Large living room.

  The location is very convenient for the harbour, at the same time being in a pleasant quiet road. The pool was nice. One needs to have a room on the 7th floor or above to get a view of the harbour.

  At check-in the receptionist interrupted dealing with us twice to take phone calls. Apart from being plain bad-mannered, this is not the standard of service one expects from a 4 star hotel and suggests that the management is over-economising on staff. The beds were hard ( as opposed to firm). The breakfast menu seemed to be the sort where pats of butter are individually priced.

  we had a excellent stay at the hotel. It was easy to get into city and to walk around. the accomadations were comfy and just like home. lots of seats and convenience of making your own meal if you choose. Lots of coffee and tea available. Did not get a chance to visit pool or spa/gym. It was a good visit to Victoria because of the accomadations we were able to have family in for a visit with us..thank you d. brinkman

  Always a good property. Staff were attentive. Vic's was good for breakfast. Could stand some renewal of the facilities.

  The staff was very accomodating, we got a free upgrade, the penthouse was spectacular.

  Although the food at Vic's steakhouse was very nice, I do think it was overpriced for the value. Single pain windows loose a lot of heat, making the harbour view cool due to the really cold harbour winds.

  The view of the harbour, especially at night was beautiful.

  We visited during a record cold snap for the city of Victoria and the room was chilly our entire stay. The heating system needs an upgrade
